Michele Nastasi (Milan, 1980) is a photographer of architecture and cities,
and a researcher in the field of representation. He has exhibited his photographs
internationally in venues such as the MIT Museum in Cambridge,
the New York University in New York and Abu Dhabi, The MAXXI in Rome,
the Italian Institute of Culture in Paris, the Festival of European Photography
in Reggio Emilia, Gulf Photo Plus in Dubai, and the Venice Biennale.
He is author of books, among which: ‘Arabian Transfer’ (Hatje Cantz: Berlin 2021);
‘Starchitecture. Scenes, Actors and Spectacles in Contemporary Cities’ (with
Davide Ponzini. Allemandi: Turin 2011. The Monacelli Press: New York 2016);
‘Suspended City: L’Aquila after the Earthquake’ (Actar: New York 2015).
His photographs and writings are published on major international reviews
and journals. As a photographer he collaborates with several architects
and magazines in the field. From 2007 to 2019 he has been editor
of the architectural review ‘Lotus International’.
He holds a PhD in History of the Arts from the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice,
and he has taught Architectural Photography at the Politecnico di Milano
and other schools. He has curated exhibitions, as the recent
“Luigi Ghirri. The Landscape of Architecture” at the Milan Triennale.

e un ricercatore nel campo della rappresentazione. Ha esposto le proprie fotografie
in sedi internazionali, tra cui il MIT Museum a Cambridge, la New York University

Le sue fotografie e i suoi articoli sono pubblicati su riviste internazionali,

Dal 2007 al 2019 è stato redattore della rivista “Lotus international”.
Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Storia delle Arti all’Università Ca’Foscari
di Venezia, e ha insegnato Fotografia per l’Architettura al Politecnico di Milano
e in altre scuole. E’ curatore di mostre, come la recente “Luigi Ghirri. Il paesaggio
dell’architettura” alla Triennale di Milano.
